My teenage son asked for these buttons (with matching thumb controllers) to set up his Xbox One controller. The exchange was not an easy task. At one point he was so upset and frustrated I thought he was about to cry; he's not a screamer at all. First, there are no written instructions. There is an instruction video on YouTube. Second, he had to take it apart at least five times over several days just to make sure all the buttons worked properly. His stepdad ended up having to help, which required a trip to the Home Depot for solder and a soldering iron because my son accidentally snapped one of the wires midway through. I fully expected to have to buy a new controller. He said if he had to do it again he wouldn't do it. I personally wouldn't have the patience or the know-how to reassemble the controller and get it working again. (I was going to throw it away.) And all just to change the buttons. I don't really think it's the quality of the buttons per se, but the ability to know how to take the controller apart and swap the buttons. The price is acceptable for the product, but it's not worth the work and effort to get them working.
