***UPDATE***18. January 2020 Our son naturally had some big growth spurts after these great socks. I still can't find them in larger sizes. Now his leg is bigger than mine. So we had to switch to another brand. But these socks were great as long as they fit him. He wore them outside on concrete and mostly just took them off in the shower and swapped them for a clean pair. Despite my protests and requests not to do so, he still went out in socks. Rschunimagu. So he got abrasion holes mostly on the big toe and/or on the heel. The price was great so I don't mind buying again. How long he wore those socks, they lasted quite a long time and that's why they deserve a 5-star rave rating. While we've moved away from these socks, I stand by my original review. You can't go wrong with these socks - my picky kid loved them! I ordered these for our 13 year old son. He's INCREDIBLY picky about socks. He has flat arches and his legs hurt all the time. He likes his socks to be tight but not too tight. Thick but not too thick and soft. He's the goldilocks of socks lol! These get the job done. We have already ordered 3 packs! He wears socks all the time. Because his feet are always sore, he doesn't like to go barefoot. Wearing an "appropriate" sock and keeping it warm will help his feet not hurt as much. They hold up well to constant washing and wear. The colors are pleasant. I like gray as it doesn't show dirt and stains as much as it does on white. So many boys clothes come in these colors (neon yellow/green, orange, cobalt blue, red, orange) and you also get a basic taupe on light gray so they go with almost anything. We will order a 4th pack and also a pack of black ones. The fact that he loves her so much that he wants more speaks volumes. These socks are great. I don't mind swapping them out if he gets holes in them just from wearing them so heavily. Any non-Kevlar sock wears out as often as you wear it. You have to be sensible and consider things like that. We love these socks. I wish I could find them in the next size up! For reference, our son wears large size 3-4 baby shoes (he is a bit small for his age and thin) and we ordered shoes for a large boy Large - 3-9. the size. They fit perfectly in a small grow space, but not by much. ***I ALWAYS wash clothes in cold water and on low speed (a little over delicates). I ALWAYS dry on low heat.
