Updated 06/24/2018: This heating pad has no throw at all. I have no idea what's wrong there. I have several table heaters and the smell of melted wax fills the room. This is the same wax I use in this heater that plugs into an outlet in a very small, narrow spot just inside the front door. If you walk up to a cup of melted wax and sniff it, you'll catch a faint smell, but as soon as you step back, it's like the thing isn't even on. Original Review: They make this quirky and inviting wax warmer and include a cup that barely holds wax. I replaced the plate with a ceramic plate I got from an old broken wall mount, otherwise I would have returned it. Also, it gets too hot to touch outside 5-8 minutes after turning it on. If I leave it for a few hours - that was the whole point of getting it - I'll be very nervous. Edited to add: They even include the card in a box that says "Use the code on the back of this card." to get a free sample of our wax melts, but there is no gift code on the card. The code field is empty. Good.
