Maybe a solution to a problem that maybe doesn't even exist.

I don't know how long stainless steel ties have been around, but I found it very interesting. The tool feels premium and heavy. Trouble is, I don't see the point when the tool can barely beat hands and scissors. When you squeeze the handle to tighten the zip tie, everything feels very tight, but when you let go of the handle, the game returns. So the idea is to squeeze the handle until it's no longer loose, until it's super tight, and then use the built-in shredder to trim off any excess cord. That's the idea, that's the intent of this tool. But actually, as soon as you cut off the excess cable, some of the slack returns. In my demo you'll see that hand tightening and trimming off the excess with scissors hardly outperforms me. It's just because I didn't feel comfortable hugging the camera and tripod to record what I was doing. When I did this without a camera, my manual method was just as powerful as the instrumental. The bottom line is that this tool and ties help hold things in place, but don't provide a super tight bond. You can already do this in the traditional manual way using standard cable ties. In fact, grooved cable ties snap and hold tension better than these stainless steel cable ties. The problem is that they are smooth. Maybe it would help if they made these ties with little grooves. On the other hand, if it has grooves to fix it, then you don't need any tools. LAUGH OUT LOUD! We are spinning in a circle. As I said in the video, it looks like a solution to a problem we don't have. I give it 3 stars because it keeps things in place and is more convenient than hand tightening and then cutting with scissors.
