Bought in anticipation of a trip to California. I got the impression they were made with plastic bags. No way. But I still love using them. I can fit my laptop, accessories and a book or two in it just to give you an idea of how big they are, but not too big. The small pockets make them very convenient to put in a purse or backpack. But once you open them, it's quite difficult to get them back in that tiny pouch. However, I use them every day to carry things from one end of the house to the other.
