* Assuming bottom holes. The bag won't open unless there are holes in it.* Seriously? Do people really take the bread out of the bag and put it in here? Don't make life harder than it has to be. You place a loaf of bread in the container, tap it on the counter a few times until the bread is under the rim, then close the bag's opening and put the lid on. When using the bread, pull the bag down to lift the bread.* Be sure to wash the lid between loaves of bread. Any breadcrumbs that get on it will go moldy (as stale bread usually does). These are the best bread stores (if you know how to use them)! I bought these because my old ones (which were easily 15-20 years old) were getting brittle and cracking on the lids.
