First of all I love the style of the flip cases. There was one for my note 8, s8plus and now my note 10 plus. It's a cool feature that the front of the case shows what pops out of the phone when the flip is closed. I liked it on my Note 8 and this one isn't as big in area as the Note 8, this one only borders sideways when the phone is flipped open, it's still quite handy to display certain information when the case is closed. The only thing to watch out for is that it doesn't offer full drop protection. For the most part it will get the job done, but if your phone falls and hits the ground in a certain way, especially if the point of impact is right in one of the corners, you can expect your screen to crack quite badly. That's how it was with s8plus that my wife had. He was on her lap and when we got to the gas station she forgot he was on her lap when she got out of the car. Sitting in a Dodge Charger, it doesn't take long for her to fall off her knees to the ground. But alas, the point of impact fell squarely on its upper-right corner, and a significant web emerged, the core of which began in the northeast and expanded to the southwest. There was no protective film on it either. While the screen wasn't directly affected, it's not clear if it was activated if it had prevented the damage by just offering a little extra support by just being on screen. Consider taping up your windows during a hurricane. In my opinion a screen protector can reduce the impact radius but if the impact is right on the corner like my wife's phone the tear might be less severe but I highly doubt it would have survived without taking any damage at all. In addition, the case for the 8 also had a stand, mainly through the body flap. When open, the flap can be bent in the middle, so you can position the phone horizontally, for example, if you want to watch a video or something similar. Not this case. Excellent phone this year.
