This scarf/poncho is very nice. It's not heavy, so don't rely on it to keep you warm in the winter chills outside. If you live in a warm climate all year round, it may be suitable for outdoor use without an extra layer. The material is smooth, slightly silky, but definitely not "sticky"! I'm plus size and don't like sticky fabrics that cling to my body and have unsightly bulges, so this scarf fits perfectly; He sat down perfectly and hid my extra weight in the way I was hoping for! I highly recommend this item! In fact, I love it so much I'll be ordering a few more in different colors! And I LOVE the buttons on one side, they add a bit of class and style, plus the buttons can be unbuttoned to wear more like a jacket if desired.
