Whatever you do, make sure you choose an option when ordering that won't disappoint! Very well packaged in a sturdy box which I intend to keep for future use yes it is that good. Now for the lightbulb. First let me say that I have had my 36 inch Aqueon Modular Light for over 4 years and it works flawlessly. It comes with a regular single bulb, white with a blue moonlight option. About a month later I added a Color Max bulb to make the light brighter and get more color. I was happy with the results. These two bulbs still work, all LEDs work properly. I saw the Beauty Max bulb and saw how it softened the light and added even more color to the tank. I decided to buy one for the third slot in my light. After making some tweaks to get the effect I wanted, I settled on the original white bulb in the back slot, Beauty Max in the middle slot, and Color Max in the front slot. Yes, where you place the lamp changes the overall look, so experiment and find what works for you. In conclusion I would say adding the Beauty Max lamp was worth it. price and achieved the desired color improvement Please don't take my 4 star rating for the brightness - that's bad, it just isn't as bright as a white or Color Max bulb.
