The best thing about the backpack is its versatility. You can pull it so tight that it's almost as small and light as the minimalist backpacks that ONLY hold water. OR you can fill the multiple pockets with all sorts of things and make it look more like an everyday backpack. As well as a full bag of water, I was able to fit 2 pairs of sunglasses, a large metal mug, a bottle, granola bars, a couple of books and there was room for more. Very comfortable with nicely padded shoulder straps. The real hydration bladder is really good - much better than my camelbak bag. The hose is protected by a sleeve and there is a cap on the mouthpiece. And the water bag is insulated. It chilled my ice cold water all day in the desert. Very impressed with the quality and versatility, especially at this price point.
