I bought this to put under my kitchen cupboards and it worked fine for maybe 3 days. After 3 days it was very noticeable that the brightness had dropped significantly so I replaced the batteries and restored it to its former glory. I used it for maybe an hour here and there while cooking for 3 days so nothing extreme. Annoyed, but he wouldn't be a deal breaker if he didn't have this other problem. I kept finding light on my countertop and on the floor because it was falling. I made sure to wipe down the case before the first install so it would stick better. The last time I found it on the ground the battery door was gone and batteries were scattered everywhere. At that point I just threw it in the trash.
