The tubeless trend is for fools.

Let's face it, the average cyclist is often led into believing a product's claims without even seeing any credible tests to back up the claims. You'll hear all sorts of anecdotal claims about how good tubeless tires are, but you'll rarely hear many of the downsides and that you're probably much better off just sticking with the good old tubes. Parrot): * Run on low pressure without descending. Above all, this is the advantage that off-road drivers claim that by driving without a tube you can lower the tire pressure than with a tube in order to get more traction. uneven surfaces. On the other hand, if you were using tubes, you would encounter pinch flats once they dropped below a certain threshold. Wrong - Properly installed inner tubes will not pinch even at lower pressures and tubeless tires suffer from "burping" when the bead breaks momentarily, allowing a lot of air to escape. Also, the benefits of ultra-low PSI pressure are dubious at best.* Never flat surfaces. This has nothing to do with tubeless cameras, it's all about liquid sealant, which you should use as a temporary measure to get tubeless cameras working in the first place. Because spoked wheels are inherently leaky, a seal must be created for tubeless wheels to work. This is done by taping off the spoke holes and using sealant to form a bead between the tire and rim. You can just as easily add this sealant to a tubular if your main concern is avoiding punctures.* Faster ride/better handling. Completely subjective statements that actually lack any basis. A good rider can handle tubular tires just as well as tubeless tires. In many cases, the sealant is heavier than a decent tube, and the presence of liquid in the tires doesn't provide the best performance or handling. Orange Seal -------------------- -----------So what's the deal with that orange thing? First badly packaged. The bottle arrived partially empty as it had leaked. The seller puts them in ziplock bags to prevent leaking bottles from spoiling in transit, but you're still a few ounces short when they arrive. Also, this stuff is very watery and doesn't help ball with tires that are at least not tubeless ready. I have the tubeless Inferno 27 rims and tires handy, but this stuff just couldn't fill the small gaps. As soon as the air hose was disconnected, the tire deflated. Third, see above, tubeless models are pretty much a trending meme that brings little to no benefit and only adds to the cost. Cameras are cheap and can last for years. Chambers hold air better. and they don't need to be inflated every time you go for a walk. - The hoses will not "shrink” when properly installed. You don't suffer from "belching". Air compressor or "injection pump". need a tube to go home. The bike industry fools around trying to make cycling dependent on expensive "consumables” that need frequent maintenance. Just stop.
