Review on Sangean WR-7DK Dark Cherry Wood Cabinet Mini Bluetooth Speaker with FM Radio Tuner and Aux-in by Amy Cummings

Fiction! - Bluetooth Portable Speakers

First of all, it's a nice overall design. The wooden case and the illuminated dial are pleasing to the eye. But otherwise the thing exceeds all my expectations. Small? Yes, a lot, but that's just what makes it charming. Despite its small size, it sounds just as good as any small Bluetooth speaker I own, even slightly larger. It plays loud enough and sounds way better than any compact transistor radio I've ever heard. In terms of functionality, it's much easier and more comfortable to use than any of my other Bluetooth speakers. For some, the source and volume controls may seem too small, and for those with poor close-up vision it can be difficult to read the writing above the source control, but it's SO easy once you know what it does (the first label, after rotated to the right, this is FM radio, the second is Bluetooth). , the third aux input and all left inputs are off), you don't have to try to read it. To top it off, this thing has a built in Sangean FM tuner. better in my kitchen than any others I've had, including the Sangean HDR-14 it replaced. Not only that, this thing sounds way better than it was (not to mention that HDR-14 was the polar opposite in terms of usability). I was initially repelled by the price given the "toy" size. But think about it this way: Not only is it a great-sounding Bluetooth speaker (let's say $30), it's also a fantastic Sangean analog tuner, fantastic design, amazing ease of use, all in a drop-dead gorgeous body, and it is a bargain! It's almost hard to imagine that in this throwaway culture we live in, there could be such a wonderful product. Buy one before the bean counters realize it's too good a value and smother life in it!
