Good sound quality with Bluetooth; not much with FM

This radio has a very good sound quality when connected to a good bluetooth audio source. Easy pairing with a computer; stable connection; and long battery life. The rear woofer adds a nice amount of bass, and the sound is quite usable at low to medium volumes. However, I am very disappointed with the FM tuner. Although it tunes into stations very well, with no interference etc, there is some slight harmonic distortion. While this doesn't affect the voice much, or even pop or rock music, it is…

Pros
  • easy to use
Cons
  • little things

Some issues are best for portable bluetooth speakers

This is an interesting radio. I knew it was small but it was way smaller than expected. Not much more than a deck of cards in width and height. This makes the volume and source select controls tiny. Plus: While the sound isn't great, it's pretty amazing considering the size of this thing. The build quality is also good. Cons: I had serious problems with FM reception. FM sounded great, pulling in all sorts of stations when it was going weak and nothing connected. Didn't even need a small antenna

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • No performance

Tiny, with the right sound.

I like Sangean radios. I have four of these, from desktop to pocket. All are of acceptable physique and accepting the wards they should. The tiny speaker looks like a miniature tabletop and is hard to resist. This BT speaker, a Sangean FM tuner, is very small. Small case with a small driver. I don't consider a passive heatsink a driver. The passive is not active and relates more to voice formation. DSP (Digital Signal Processing) wants sound to be clear by limiting audible distortion with a…

Amazing, sounds great, expensive, buggy but worth it.

I bought this for my small caravan. I have two other Sangean WR-11 and WR-22 radios. The sound is impressive for THE SIZE! Love it! I like the unit in general. It's fantastic for what I want and honestly it's amazing. It looks great in contrast to the dark cherry wood interior I compared it to. I'm definitely going to keep it and listen to classical music while we talk. Not very good. As others have pointed out, there is a strange setup issue. It's perfectly configurable until you plug in the…

Darling, I shrunk the desk radio!

This baby is adorable. I grew up listening to these classic KLH tabletop radios and the retro style of the WR-7 touches me to the core. The body is made of natural wood, solid and very beautiful. The speaker grille is metal (it seems); The dials are plastic and I agree with a previous review that the volume and dial buttons are really tiny but serviceable. The tuning wheel requires a steady hand, but the tuner locks into a station once you find a spot and I've found that while it doesn't have…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Easy maintenance

Fiction! - Bluetooth Portable Speakers

First of all, it's a nice overall design. The wooden case and the illuminated dial are pleasing to the eye. But otherwise the thing exceeds all my expectations. Small? Yes, a lot, but that's just what makes it charming. Despite its small size, it sounds just as good as any small Bluetooth speaker I own, even slightly larger. It plays loud enough and sounds way better than any compact transistor radio I've ever heard. In terms of functionality, it's much easier and more comfortable to use than…

Pros
  • Hands-free calling
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

I have half a dozen Sangean radios. I got it for the kicks in the guest room and WOW. I need another one for my office. This thing is incredible for its size. Reception is AMAZING, it clearly works on the DSP as it locks right into stations that are even in close proximity if you move the dial. They simply snap into place and the modeling light comes on. The sound is wow. For such a tiny speaker, it's full-fledged and not tinny at all. Note to those under 35: The definition of good sound is…

An excellent product when used with the right expectations

I am honored to write a review of this wonderful radio. This is without a doubt a five star product if the buyer has the right expectations, which I will now explain. First of all, it is important to note the size of this device. The photos I've seen don't give me a precise idea of how small the body is, but it's about the length of a stick of butter. The power button and volume control are about as wide as an eraser. I really like its size and I think it would look perfect on my bedside table…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Bought for a specific purpose. I wanted an external computer speaker that wouldn't take up much desk space, but I also wanted a radio. That's the great thing about it. It's on my table. I have a stereo mini (3.5mm) male to male cable from the audio jack on my computer to the AUX on this radio/speaker. I have another computer that connects to this radio/speaker via Bluetooth. So now I can switch the audio from the radio (FM only though), to one computer (via AUX) or to another (via Bluetooth)…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
