Review on Sangean WR-7DK Dark Cherry Wood Cabinet Mini Bluetooth Speaker with FM Radio Tuner and Aux-in by Rosemary Veliz

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Tiny, with the right sound.

I like Sangean radios. I have four of these, from desktop to pocket. All are of acceptable physique and accepting the wards they should. The tiny speaker looks like a miniature tabletop and is hard to resist. This BT speaker, a Sangean FM tuner, is very small. Small case with a small driver. I don't consider a passive heatsink a driver. The passive is not active and relates more to voice formation. DSP (Digital Signal Processing) wants sound to be clear by limiting audible distortion with a Bluetooth connection. It suits me when I mainly listen to talk radio connected to the tablet. I have two channels and headphones for music. The WR-7, like most Bluetooth speakers, is a personal audio system. The most screaming and terrible sound. The WR-7 offers good sound and a reasonable balance. The question I ask myself is what is it worth? "Would you buy this again?" I don't think so. It's expensive for what it is. The Antimi Bluetooth speaker also has a tuner. Tuner and reception are not quite on the level of the Sangean, but excellent for the price. Antimi plays louder (not distorted "louder") with appropriate balance. Antimi costs half. Antimi's battery only lasts half as long. Listening at higher volumes has its downsides. The WR-7 is suitable for adults who listen to real music at a normal volume. Hip hop and electronic music lovers should look elsewhere.
