Review on Sangean WR-7DK Dark Cherry Wood Cabinet Mini Bluetooth Speaker with FM Radio Tuner and Aux-in by Nicole Harty

Amazing, sounds great, expensive, buggy but worth it.

I bought this for my small caravan. I have two other Sangean WR-11 and WR-22 radios. The sound is impressive for THE SIZE! Love it! I like the unit in general. It's fantastic for what I want and honestly it's amazing. It looks great in contrast to the dark cherry wood interior I compared it to. I'm definitely going to keep it and listen to classical music while we talk. Not very good. As others have pointed out, there is a strange setup issue. It's perfectly configurable until you plug in the power adapter. Then it really gets worse. As bad as. IMHO, an external antenna also exacerbates the situation! Oooh weird. Solution. When I'm not using it, I charge it. Then when I use it, I unplug the charger. With a claimed 36-hour battery life, that's more than okay. If I had 20 hours of battery life I would be fine. Just put your hope in it. Definitely something that Sangean should improve in version 2. It's probably just an internal security issue. In fact, unless they have a very complex lithium charging circuit, it's a bad idea for a cell to leave it on the charger all the time, so anyway. Fur. My other pet is annoying. 5 volt micro USB charging cable. or mini. I can't remember which one. Small! I hate. to hate. to hate. Those little USB plugs. The cables and sometimes the input port can fail over time. Considering it's 2021 now, it should be USB-C. At least to show that durability is important to them! I'm very handy, so in 5 years, given that I have to charge/plug/unplug this thing weekly, I fully expect that one day I'll also be soldering in a new plug and Li-ion battery. Enjoy.
