Bought for my 2 month old Aussie/Catahoula mix who already needed an update to keep him from rolling the bed. He freaked out when he saw it, jumped in and snuggled up as soon as I unwrapped it. I have a large one so it has enough room for a pillow/blanket now, but it can become one with age. It's very bulging in the middle at first, but it needs a little kneading to get the perfect beautiful donut shape. It didn't smell like chemicals, but I washed it immediately (in a pillowcase) just in case. It has a very soft top and a durable non-slip bottom so hopefully with proper care it will last a long time.
