I use mold paste to create textures in my mixed media work. Depending on what I'm creating, I either use it as is, out of a jar with a spatula, to sculpt my textured base (which I paint later), or add color to the mold paste and paint with it with a spatula. I use light and normal molding pastes as well as gels and other mediums. I prefer to work with Liquitex or Golden products for this application. NOTE: If using canvas, you must use a plastic sculpting/modeling paste. Regular sculpting/modeling paste is heavier and requires a less flexible surface like wood paneling or it can crack.
