Golden 35705 Molding Paste Ounce Review

The Revain delivery of this product was excellent as always for me. The product itself is more than I expected. It is easy to work with, easy to manipulate and shapes beautifully. I will use it often and when it runs out I will go straight to Revane to refill it. I believe this product will be essential to my needs in my model railroading hobby.

I use mold paste to create textures in my mixed media work. Depending on what I'm creating, I either use it as is, out of a jar with a spatula, to sculpt my textured base (which I paint later), or add color to the mold paste and paint with it with a spatula. I use light and normal molding pastes as well as gels and other mediums. I prefer to work with Liquitex or Golden products for this application. My aunt was a professional painter and sculptor and introduced me to the wide range of gel mediums and all the special effects they can create. But this is definitely my favorite. It spreads and peaks like vanilla frosting and is perfect for creating 'hair', 'petals', 'tree bark', 'candle flames' and just about any textured surface you want to make.
