Sometimes you get what you pay for. If you don't need to wear a hard hat often, cheap ones will do, but if you wear one every day and move a lot, it's worth spending a little more. I only had these. for a few days but seems like money well spent. My old cheap hat was always a bit uncomfortable and sometimes even painful to the ears. This helmet is a bit heavier, but the suspension is much more comfortable and distributes the weight better. The ratchet also feels very high quality. Sometimes I don't even notice it on my head, and the light was just right for me when the light suddenly went out briefly while I was working in the stairwell (sometimes on new buildings). Test the battery life in a place where there are no lights yet, but I'm sure it's better than constantly changing batteries. it almost looks like a WWII helmet! I was a little hesitant to spend that much, but I believe in cutting down on the things that annoy me during the day and this hat did the trick. If it doesn't fall apart in a year, it's worth it.
