My 20 year old Andalusian stallion/mustang wears an expensive fly mask for UV protection. This is the Chihuahuan desert and the sun is very bright in the summer. He is a good athlete and never takes his mask off or plays with it - he totally understands that it makes him more comfortable. This resulted in flat and sloping ears once worn. He does not like it. It fits well, doesn't flow and doesn't stick. He already had a mask with earplugs, so I think that mask is hot. This mask has a lot more material than the other and further covers the face and nose. Two days this week it was 111 degrees here, absolutely excess tissue on the body generates excess heat. I'll try to use this in February when we get really cold weather - I think he'll be more inclined to wear it then. The mask appears to be well made and the eyecups are large enough to fully clean the eyes - no accidents.
