They were easy to install. They can be a little painful to lock and unlock. The bolt on our front door turns very easily, you can hardly press it with your finger. So it's still pretty easy to block with this one. But hard enough, my 3 year old didn't figure it out. Our tailgate screw is usually a little harder to turn and is an absolute pain to install. When you lock a door, turn it counterclockwise. It is then important to turn it slightly clockwise until the knobs pop out again. Otherwise, you will not be able to open the door with the key and accidentally lock your husband out of the house.
