1/4 the price of a major manufacturer? Hmm that's easy to call

I only received this article today so take what I say with a grain of salt but I've had similar book covers before including one by Mosiso. So I'm used to them. I'll also say up front that I ordered this KNOWING it was too big for my Chromebook, but the only company that makes one for an 11.1 inch Chromebook literally charges FOUR TIMES more, which just doesn't Option is - I went for 1/4. a price I could live with with an extra inch or so of overlap. So having had it before and using it now that I'm writing this, here are my pros and cons: PROS: It's very well constructed, much better than I could reasonably expect for the price and the weight isn't too much , not too little, I'm even pleased that it's a bit stiffer/thicker than some. I saw it because now I don't have to worry about putting my Chromebook in my book bag - it offers a nice extra layer of protection. The felt lining is VERY nice, again much better quality than I expected. Overall it has a nice "book" feel (although see my downvote on that below) - it definitely looks, when closed, like I'm carrying around an old book or ledger. CONS: it looks too "new"! From a photo on the internet, the reddish cover of the book looks "vintage" and worn, and when I opened the box and pulled it out of the packaging, I wasn't sure at first if I got what I ordered . But that's right, it's just not as worn, faded, weathered as I personally like it and as it looks in the photo here on the listing. I'm sure it'll get like this fast enough to hit a book bag, but for now it's looking pretty new. I can't call the latter a "scam" because, as mentioned, I ordered it because it would be too big for my Chromebook. But the elastic struts on the top that attach to the screen itself fit into the corners pretty snugly - there's really NO wiggle room if your laptop is smaller than the chassis. A better design would be a strip running along the bottom of the screen, which the screen then slides up into. Just a thought. As a solution I was expecting, I used a piece of velcro on the side of the screen to attach it to the case - an easy fix. Overall, to be clear, this is a VERY good cover. I always get LOTS of compliments and "where did you get that from?" from people seeing my other books style covers on different devices - it's always a talking point.

Pros
  • that's amazing
Cons
  • some errors
