For removing the trunk protectors on our 2004 Road King. The normal ones dug into my wife's legs, making it uncomfortable to ride together. I installed them to support the underside of the mount that gripped the butt guards. No chrome version is required, the black color fits and looks great. Very easy to install, a set of SAE hex keys and a set of SAE sockets or wrenches is all you need. You need Torx T40 to remove the stock torx!
