POPLAY Twisty String Flying Saucers Review

To be honest, that surprised me a bit. I actually bought them a few months ago but it seemed overwhelming with so many in my bag and no indication that they were sitting on the shelf untouched. I finally decided the other day to check them out and lo and behold! Very nice, and today the kids played with it for at least an hour! Since there are so many of them, it will be a great party!

I didn't open the package because they are Christmas gifts for children in my economically disadvantaged county and for me a home shelter. However, all the items in the bag look great and the activities they offer are sure to be fun. They don't look like they'll last long but 40 for the price doesn't matter. Fun activities at Christmas are more important.

My son is 7 years old. He was able to fly the disc, but it broke on the first try outdoors. I understand that they are cheap and not designed to last, but I think it's reasonable to expect even cheaply made toys to get more than one applause. Do you know who else likes these things? cats. I let them fly indoors for them to hunt and they love it. They don't gnaw discs, but I'll keep an eye on it. The discs I received appear to be thinner than the picture, but that's a good thing because I've banged them into walls, windows, picture glass, TVs, and cabinets with no damage. They're also larger than I expected and easy to pick up when you're done.

Propellers break very easily. Be sure to show the kids how to use it. Practice it slowly at first. Make sure the little launcher is pointing in the right direction or you will break the propeller. Put it on like an inverted top hat. I bought them for my second grader and I have to say they really love them. Stay away from trees and roofs ha ha ha. It's a good thing there are 40 in the pack as some of them will break.

The only thing to note is to ensure you order more than you need with the expectation that some will be unusable due to warped plastic due to cheap quality. In my package about 10% was sent in the trash. So why 5 stars? I had to come up with a fun activity for all ages and it was a HUGE hit! Everyone from preschoolers and teens to grandparents raved about them and they were cheap enough to lose but worth it. So yeah, they're cheap-oh, but I'll definitely be ordering them again for a picnic next

As silly as it may sound, I wish it had instructions on how to assemble the 3 pieces. It sat in the closet for several months until one day the grandparents came and showed the kids how to "assemble" it so that it could fly and not just go up and down. I find it ridiculous that I didn't get it sooner, but I'm glad the kids could laugh about it when we finally got it. Turns out you need to hold the stick, attach the ring, and then attach the heli wheel. Once everything is "assembled", quickly…
