I have made many bookshelves and other furniture in my time, from IKEA to Target and many more. But that was the most confusing: build and then take apart, flip, try other configuration, drill your own holes, hopefully it looks good, wobbly in the end, heap of junk I've ever encountered. Thank goodness I hung it in the corner next to my desk to store the books I use at work. If I really wanted to use it as a display piece for my books I would return it. You have to mount it on the wall because it's wobbly as hell. Other than that, it holds a lot of books, and all my books are hardcover, so I think it contains about 40 hardcover books.
