I have 2 of these and they are the perfect size and weight for my purposes. The first one I use for my dog. She has lab fur and sheds a lot. I have brushed her out with a soft comb which is quite effective but leaves her fur frizzy and ready for more shedding so I use it to comb any hair that the comb has picked up so that it is smooth and less likely to fall out . fallen hair. I use the second. I started dry brushing and it was good but not my thing. Now I use it with soap in the shower, like a coarser washcloth. I clean from the limbs to the heart. I have found that I shave very cleanly as it flakes and raises the hair (since I shave from ankle to thigh, not the other way around).
