Almost too strong
These are incredibly STRONG magnets. Almost too strong. They stay in place while sewing and are quite long giving a comfortable length to touch the fabric. A handle is required to lift it off a metal surface and it's solid and durable. I imagine the strength and size will make them feel comfortable on other surfaces such as a workshop.
