I got frustrated trying to clean all the crevices in my Invisalign retainer and I'm still stuck in places I can't reach. I reached for a needle to scrape it off, which didn't work very well. My retainer has also taken on a brown tinge in recent years (he is about 4 years old). I doubted it would work for either problem, but since my dentist only cleans it every 6 months, I thought it was worth a try. I bought this with Britt's fixative tablets but it came with a packet of ultrasonic cleaners. It was really easy to set up (plug in and fill with water) and the instructions were clear. I removed the plastic tray and used about half a pack of cleaner and also ran my fixer through 3 cycles (with a 10 minute break in between to keep it from overheating) and the difference was amazing. Haven't used it with Britt's fixative tablets but just the cleaner and water removed any stuck residue and lightened them up significantly. I hope the color gets even lighter over time, but I'm just happy with how clean they are now. It's easy to use every day, and while it may seem like a slight vibration in the water (I was initially worried it wouldn't do anything), it definitely makes a difference. Very happy with the purchase.
