I bought it for my mother as traditionally we put together a jigsaw puzzle every Sunday. We used to have to move her dining table into the living room when working on a larger puzzle, but with this puzzle board we just place it on her mobile coffee table and place it where we want. The 4 trays are handy for sorting pieces by color and keeping the tray on your lap while you work on a specific puzzle piece. The felt cover is rough enough for the pieces to stay on, so you don't have to worry about hitting it with your hand or elbow and knocking it to the ground. I'm not sure how well felt will hold a partially assembled puzzle in place as it is very light and impossible to hold onto the board. It would be nice if it had foldable legs so you could prop it up at an angle, but there are pricier options if you need that kind of functionality.
