I wanted a simple incense burner so the ash wouldn't fly everywhere, especially as I might burn a few chopsticks before cleaning. This box looks great, and I love the idea of a "flameless" cloth for the incense to sit on. However, the wand appears to burn when it touches the fabric. Also, my current incense is too long for the box. So I just snap off the end of the stick and use it to support the incense so it can burn freely. This system works well as long as the cover is off. When the lid is closed, it can also extinguish the incense. I love that the lid is held in place by magnets. When I'm done firing, I just put the lid back on. After about five burns, I throw away the ashes. I probably wouldn't buy it again, but it works great for me.
