Great sunglasses! Outdoor

Great sunglasses for the price. They are very dark, with fully mirrored lenses and a sturdy metal frame. For those familiar with the "shading" system used to standardize lens tint, that's 4. Most sunglasses, even good brands, have no more than 3. Goggles used for oxy-fuel welding , typically have 5-7. Heavier welds (ARC/MIG/TIG) require a shade of 9-12 or higher depending on the amperage used. Julbo states in the manual that these sunglasses are not recommended for driving, but I find they work great, especially in extremely high light environments such as wet/snowy roads. They turn a very sunny day into the filtered yellow-orange light you typically see through summer storm clouds. If like me you want your standard pair of sunglasses to be a little darker then these are the ones for you. The side windows are distraction-free and eliminate the need to play with your visor in the car when the sun shines through the side windows. They are made of leather or leather and are completely removable if the look or feel bothers you. The lenses are not polarized, as is common with most mountaineering goggles. This allows the user to see reflections from dangerous areas of ice before they get too close. The heavily chromed bumpers will definitely catch your eye on a sunny day, but they're not unbearable. Another useful feature not detailed in the insert is that the ear pads are flexible at the ends. This allows you to wrap them back over your ears for maximum grip during intense activity. I used to have very expensive sunglasses. For the price you can't beat them. I look forward to trying other Julbo models in the future.
