Provides great swap partitions for Raspberry Pi 3/4, perfect OS installation disk (my granddaughter has Ubuntu 21.04, I have Knoppix for the Gentoo -Master). KVM and Knoppix make it pretty easy) and adds storage for user files (mainly source code) if I mount it in Chromebook's main user account under /home/user/Downloads as a USB stick with partitions mounted like (/dev/sdb1 type 19 Linux Swap Size 8 GB - driven by fstab ChromeOS from crosh$ shell; in /home/user/Downloads via soft link to /opt/code in standard Chromebook Linux VM container.) as extra flash memory, especially when it's almost is flush you can install and forget 'em, and at the same time almost flush you can easily pull them out Eat them from anything you want to stick them in, but thin enough to ignore 99% of computing tasks. Not the fastest, not the best I/O speed, but good enough for what I do.
