I bought four different types of compression stockings from different companies for my knee. This one worked best because it stayed in place and was comfortable. It's not tight - it's like a premium bandage - but without the hassle of having to wrap and unwrap your knee like a premium bandage. It's easy to put on and snug enough to stay in place without squeezing your foot. I bought the XXL - I might be ok with the XL - but I'm a plus size woman and this fits my hips much better than the other supportive sleeves I've bought. The sleeves that didn't fit didn't stretch quite like this one so either the thigh part was too tight or the shape didn't suit my knees and legs so these sleeves either rolled up or slipped down to my ankle. This is the first thing I've bought that has actually stayed in place after running for an hour or more. I also think it helps that this compression sleeve feels a little longer than other sleeves I've had before. It's not super firm support, but for what I wanted, which was support and warmth, it worked great!
