Over time, the leaf spring that keeps the cabinet door closed will inevitably fatigue and break, causing the doors to open only slightly, which looks sloppy. How quickly this happens depends on the number of openings/closings. So my frequently used cupboard doors usually suffer this fate after 5 years, I buy these packs and simply exchange them if necessary. Quite difficult to remove and install, they often break when removed but then the leaf spring is gone so they have to be thrown away anyway. I've been buying replacements for 15 years now and the basic ephemeral design hasn't changed. One would hope to get a few decades out of them, but no. It's probably better for the manufacturer, so you just have to keep buying them, and they don't come cheap. I wish Bloom (or anyone else) had a heavy duty version with stronger construction for commonly used closet doors. Ready to pay a premium. The ones that are rarely used still work great after 22 years.
