Review on πŸš€ Gigabyte GV-N3080TURBO-10GD GeForce RTX 3080 Turbo 10G rev 2.0 LHR, 10GB GDDR6X, High Performance Graphics Card with Enhanced Durability by Stanislaw Kalinowski ᠌

I was surprised by the quality for the price.

The card can be used normally only by fixing the voltage at 0.8v at 1.77 GHz and setting the cooler to 100% at 85 degrees - with these settings, the card heats up in heavy games (Metro Exodus, RDR2) up to 78 for the core and 90 for the memory, with a fan speed of 70 -75% (normal noise). At the same time, the FPS is even higher by one or two percent than if you play without changing anything (the card does not throttle due to overheating). Power consumption drops from 325 to ~260 watts. If you are going to change thermal pads - all 1mm is needed inside this model! Not 1.5, not 2! I recommend Gelid GP 12W. Drip a little thermal paste on the memory chips, put a gasket, drip a little more thermal paste on top. Because here, in fact, 1.25mm and 0.25mm are compensated by the paste. If you don't want to dirty the chips - then paste only from the side of the radiator. There is no place in the case for power supply from the end - look for cables from the Bykski water block and put them instead of the factory adapter - the cables can be led out into the hole, which will be after its dismantling.

Pros
  • Size 2 slots, appearance, blown out of the case, copper vapor chamber, cold memory (as for GDDR6X)
Cons
  • Mandatory undervolting, otherwise either noise from a 90% cooler or a red-hot card. Some kind of game with the power connection - the cables from the PSU are connected to adapters in a plastic insert at the end of the card, and from them the power goes to the board. Due to the power connection from the end, the card cannot be put into very small cases, you need 310mm of space for the card to bring the cables.
