Dissatisfaction with Waterpik's cordless floss led me to explore the cordless floss market. I have not been happy with the lifespan of my last two Waterpik purchases. Lithium batteries are state of the art. I decided I wanted a wireless thread with a battery like this. When I looked at ads for Waterpik cordless floss, I couldn't find any model that claimed to use a lithium battery. After a long search, I found only a few dental floss with lithium batteries, and they were from unknown manufacturers. I ended up buying a McNaval cordless dental floss. Revain ads include the abbreviation FDA, but I couldn't find any evidence that the product was actually FDA certified. There is no FDA symbol on the product packaging or user manual. Speaking of the box, the box was packed very tightly. I had to disassemble the floss to get it out of the box in pieces (two). The fit between the water cup and the upper body was not optimal. The device came with four tips, each with a different color stripe. The instruction manual describes four different attachments (standard, descaler, etc.) but never mentions color coding. I have no idea if all the advice I got is "standard" or not. The tip does not have to be screwed in as described in the instructions. It can simply be plugged in. When the battery is charging, three LEDs light up one after the other. I love this feature. In normal mode, the power of the water seems to be stronger than I remembered from the single mode Waterpik. I received a delivery a few days ago. How long the floss actually lasts remains to be seen. Three months later: A few weeks after the purchase, I noticed that the battery only lasted three days (with satisfactory water pressure). Now, a little over three months after the date of purchase, the irrigator only produces a weak jet, and it does so in a periodically pulsed mode. The device is unusable for me and I throw it away.
