Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Fixed Lens - Discontinued by Manufacturer by Bhavin Tharwani ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

This lens was purchased after a large number of positive reviews and the need for a normal fix at the right price. I don’t pay attention to the weak construction, because I don’t hammer nails with the lens, I use it carefully. The lens gives a bright, juicy picture, I did not see any serious differences between 1.8 and 1.4. Regarding AF. After the purchase, the lens fell into front focus, stably, i. E. about 8-9 shots out of 10 by. Closing the hole did not solve the problem either (not so noticeable, but it flew off, saved by a large depth of field). The lens was self-aligned (the instructions are easy to find on the Internet), after which it began to hit right on target. 9 out of 10, or even 10 out of 10 frames began to beat where necessary, it became a pleasure to work. TOTAL: A must have, especially if it's not scary to spend half an hour working with a soldering iron and small screwdrivers. The result is worth it. rating 4 precisely for the need to work with a soldering iron. If not for this, then 5.

Pros
  • 1) Paints 2) Price 3) Sharpness ha f/4-6.3 4) is everywhere
Cons
  • 1) workmanship 2) terrible aftofocus (see commentary).
