FIX: Now the buttons just break, the plastic where the button connects to the switches is cheap plastic that breaks with normal use. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. This gaming keyboard feels solid and the aluminum body is sexy. Open key style removes dust/crumbs/weeds. Also, the AF looks cool. I love that even without (bloated) software you get white backlit WASD and arrow keys for easier placement. But the Corsair software is too much, it added 5 seconds to my load time from 10 seconds, and this program shouldn't have that impact. So I run it with a standard red light, not much with white lighting. The keyboard is nice, the spacing is good. The keys are a bit noisy, but we knew that when we bought it. But what takes the stars off for me is how easy the keys come off! It takes very little contact with the sides of the keys on the left edge of the board (CTRL, SHIFT, CAPS LOCK, etc.) for it to disengage. And it seems that once removed, they fall forward 100% easier. In fact, I couldn't hit the TAB key more than a time or two, so I used one of the included gray textured keys, even though it was smaller than TAB and E. Capslock was now glowing almost as badly. CTRL is only secondary in terms of damping. As such, I can't recommend a very good and very expensive gaming keyboard (it sold for $99 instead of $135) because those keys pop off so easily and never reattach securely afterwards. Software wise I should have bought Razer KB as I already have Orbweaver and NAGA Trinity so I don't need another program that works for KB. live and learn
