Well you hope your house never gets a power surge, but we had a big storm and it did. My instruments and electronics were protected by these surge protectors. I had a high quality power strip with surge protection. It worked, but the power surge fried the extension cord. These voltage stabilizers worked great. Everything protected as described. If you have questions about whether they work, I can say from experience that they work. I saved a lot of appliances and electronics that would have increased my home insurance if we had to replace everything. We could have had a fire too. Worth every penny.
