Review on πŸ”Š PIONEER TS-1701 I: Unleashing Power and Precision in Audio by Siu Jang ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like the product, the quality did not disappoint.

The goal was to replace regular speakers in the Duster with minimal cost. I put it in the front doors, no additional noise, connection from the head unit (which is without GPS, manufactured by Daewoo). I put it directly into the plastic of the door card inside the grill from Kicx PRO 6020 (they were lying around idle), on self-tapping screws from regular 13 ", I did not cut anything, the dimensions allow. Of course, I had to take everything out of the door pockets, otherwise it rattles terribly.

Pros
  • It is good to listen to guitar instrumentals, ambient electronics and other music that is not saturated with complexities. Very good for jazz - double bass, bass guitar can be heard perfectly (which is amazing!). Bass potential is generally excellent (if the volume of the door is suitable). Not bad pass the scene, for such a price is very good detail. Mark Lanegan sings like he's alive in a car. Sounds awesome Enigma and good old Mike Oldfield. Every Placebo or RHCP laughs and cries almost flawlessly. Probably, these speakers also cut rap music well, but I don’t listen to it, I can’t judge. Included are adapters for standard Renault connectors
Cons
  • High frequencies are typical for broadband - they sound stifled from somewhere far away. A lot of garbage is heard on instrumentally saturated music - especially at high volume. Amorphis is not exported, most of Metallica and Paradise Lost are not exported either. Something clumsy like Static-X or Rammstein still works fine, but an aggressive rhythm section + bass + guitar cuts = a hell of a mess for the ears. That's why fans of complex ruby-style a la Cradle of Filth or Deftones won't do, rubbish up to static crackle in the background. And what, in fact, did you want from a broadband for 20 bucks. protective nets not included
