DQinLit mat works best on beds and furniture

I bought this ray mat to replace the Petmate mat my bengal cats broke. The length is quite long but not very wide. We use this to keep our cats from scratching the cat room door. I didn't give 5 stars just because I find the on/off button a bit annoying. My other ramp had a switch and it was clear if it was on or off. It has a button that either turns on the different modes (can beep, press, or both) or turn them off. You have to press it once to cycle through the modes and hold it down to turn it on and off and also change the intensity settings. A couple of times I've changed the settings instead of turning it off because it doesn't quite match how long you leave it on. I just found the switch on my other one to be easier to use. I also don't think the beep did anything other than drive me crazy. It seemed to turn itself off all night when I had this setup. Aside from those minor annoyances, the shock is pretty decent and keeps my cats out the door. I will say that training them on the Word does not help. They know to stay away from the carpet, not the door itself. If I don't stick it in, they'll start scratching again. Just keep in mind that this will most likely have to be used all the time and not as a learning tool, especially if you have smarter animals.
