Full Disclosure: I did not purchase them for their intended purpose as with in-ear monitors for live musical performances. Although I'm a touring musician, I bought these to use with my home gaming consoles. Overall, since most gaming headphones tend to have poor directional sound and accentuated bass, they don't contribute much to a dynamic soundstage. CCA C12 are pretty good. Hybrid design with dynamic driver and 5 balanced anchors per ear cup delivers natural sound. What you don't get is a Bose/Beats-like sound performance. The music will sound the way the artist and sound engineers intended. The separation of instruments is quite wide, whether it's prog rock or an orchestral score of God of War. The bass response is natural and full, the mids are warm and fill the soundstage, the highs are sharp but not shrill or squeaky. I've tried several KZ Hybrid IEM headphones with dual/quad design, but they always lacked something in their bass frequencies. CCA filled this gap. While the C12 wasn't intended for use in general purpose headphones and wasn't tuned to the ears, it was one of the most satisfying experiences I've had.
