Socks are great if you have a large calf or if you need a sock that is not too tight. I prefer lighter supports as I don't wear them for medical reasons. I'm on my feet most of the day so they provide ample support without causing any harm. Some supportive socks actually hurt. it's not like this. They come down to my knees and I'm almost 6 feet tall. If you're shorter and have heavy legs, I'll bet they still come up to the top of your knee. The top band doesn't compress, but the socks stay in place and never slip off. It might be the best item for the other person. If I think about who might like it, I'll most likely write about who I think it will work for. • 4 stars: Item exactly described. There may be 1 or 2 things I could possibly change that won't break the deal. Would recommend to friends and family. • 5 stars (it's perfect and I love it!) Almost perfect. Amazing quality and a must have. That means I'm in seventh heaven and will not only recommend, but buy for others and will continue to buy for myself.
