I bought this product because I wanted to bake healthy sourdough bread and I didn't have a big enough oven to put a roaster in (I have a small toaster) and it's cheaper than buying a small Dutch one Oven for baking. The product arrived early and was neatly and securely packaged in a box with sufficient padding that I received it in one piece (not a broken piece). Made in the EU (surprisingly not in China). 2.9 liters is ideal for making 4 cups of whole wheat sourdough bread. More than 4 cups require larger size. The glass is thick and there is no problem with breaking it in the oven or preheating it to 450F. If you're using it upside down (lid on bottom) to bake sourdough, it's a bit slippery to store in oven mitts, so I suggest using it normally. I haven't used it in a casserole yet, but it will do. in the future. This product was eligible for Prime shipping when I purchased it. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in baking sourdough bread and doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a small roaster.
