Let me first say that the quality of the tempered glass is really great. I have no problems. He likes fingerprints, but I think most people will still like it. Installation went smoothly but I had a brand new tablet so it was probably easier for me. There were instructions but they seem out of date. They provide this tape to use as a hinge, but the instructions don't say how to use it. I knew how to install other goggles so it wasn't a problem for me. You basically just want to position the tempered glass and then tape the edge of the glass to the tablet, creating a loop (I use three at intervals), and then you just lift the glass to the side and clean the screen in quick succession, tearing Remove the protective film from the glass and turn the glass towards the screen. Firstly, I've never tried a glassless fingerprint scanner, but I can't imagine it's that bad. With glass I get about 60-65% accuracy. There are days when he decides it will work and days when it just doesn't, and it's very binary. Either it works or it doesn't work. It either works on the first or second try, or I fail all five times and have to open it a different way. I found that I had to try very hard to get it to work. The reason I'm still happy is that I can use Face Unlock instead, which isn't the best replacement as it doesn't work that well in the dark, but it's still something. Since the tablet is brand new, I intend to protect it. I'll probably reconsider removing the glass once I start to feel it's showing its age, but overall I'm very happy with the glass.
