Ballerina's Opinion

The former professional dancer is here. I've been making pointe shoes for over fifteen years and wanted to try them just to see how they held up. To be honest they look and feel the same as my much more expensive pointe shoes. They lack the elastic that goes around the ankle and there is no option to sew them on. So if someone really wants to dance in it, you definitely need to add one. I see a lot of inexperienced people buying them in other comments and I just want people to realize how many injuries you or your daughter can suffer from wearing pointe shoes incorrectly or without proper support. So far these shoes have held up well, I will update them as I break them in and dance in them more. For experienced dancers - they remind me of Grishko. The box is shorter than I prefer, but the shaft feels the same and is very strong (that's how I like it). The color is a very classic ballet pink. The straps are already sewn on, but they're pretty far back on the foot (not the arch), so I cut them off and moved them to the right place. Overall, they feel like expensive pointe shoes, to be honest.
