I bought this for my pup to help him get through the winter months when I noticed that walking on snow/ice and sometimes salt (when we it is couldn't have avoided it) looked rough on his paws. It is easy to use and instantly improves paw pads. After a few uses, it became apparent that his paws were less rough and didn't tear. I have loaned it to family members to help with their puppies and they loved it too. This is a great product. Warning: You can try to keep your pet away from the couch for a while after using it. We have paw prints on the couch (which can easily be erased).
