I grew up skating in the mid to late 90's and despite my skinny legs have always loved the look and functionality of extra thick wide skateboards. Globe have managed to keep the great style and quality they had from the start and that's why I keep buying them, so many companies screw up the quality after a while (DC) and it's so disappointing. I also love that the tongue is integrated with the ankle/healing support so you don't have to use laces you don't want and it will still be one of the safest shoes you will ever wear.
