Review on 🐠 Tetra LED Half Moon Aquarium Kit 1.1 Gallons: Perfect Betta Fish Tank in Black (29049) by Leslie Smith

Wobbly lid and too small

At first I thought it was good. But after the first month of use, I noticed the following issues: 1. The cap falls into the tank too often for my comfort. It was mostly when I was trying to attach a wire for a small heater. He kept moving in the tank. When trying to fix it the lid fell off the betta once or twice which I imagine stressed it out lol. That brings me to the second point.2. Using a heater in this aquarium is a nightmare. Due to the lid falling off, shifting position (not sure if it's plastic or suction cup?), and uneven heating. I don't think 1 gallon can be heated evenly. I used this with a thermostat and put the heater in the middle but the water temp fluctuated (bottom was always colder than top) 3. Filter required but tank too small for filter. You would have to remove the cover to try to install it. In my case this was not an option (I have cats). I won't give the roosters much room to swim. Since I couldn't turn it on due to the lack of a filter, ammonia built up very quickly. I was forced to change the water every day and had to keep dosing Seachem Prime to keep the bettas from getting ammonia burns. Which will kill her in the end.4. Cleaning this tank sucks. I've tried a gravel vacuum, but since the tank is so small, it will suck up most of the water before I can pick up all the dirt off the floor. The feeding hole is big enough for the rooster to jump out. What do they usually do when the water condition is bad (which will happen in this tank and soon). While not all bettas do this, it is still a risk. I covered the hole with a net just in case. Due to the unrealistic amount of maintenance required to keep my betta healthy, I have decided to purchase a larger aquarium that will fit a filter and heater and still have enough room for comfortable swimming. . In fact, any problem with the tank can be due to it being too small. I really thought I could get a gallon reservoir to work (it's better than the urine collection cups they are sold in, after all). But in practice, maintaining and keeping it clean is a nightmare. I would recommend spending a little more money for at least a 2.5 gallon with the filter and heater. This will greatly reduce the amount of maintenance you need to keep those poor fish alive lol.
